7 Romance Book Podcasts to Fall in Love With
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a little bit addicted to podcasts... and since I'm also addicted to romance novels, you'll be unsurprised to hear that my podcast app is stuffed full of romance book podcasts!
Every week, long-distance BFFs Erin and Melody discuss a different romance book together. This podcast is like a warm hug, and you'll be laughing along as they dissect your favourite reads and a few more... suspect titles. I defy you not to want to become the third BFF to this pair.
2. Smart Bitches, Trashy Books
I'm pretty sure this is the OG romance podcast - there's a sizeable back catalogue to get into if you want to immerse yourself in the world of romance. There's something for everyone here, with interviews with authors, readers, reviewers, bloggers, publishers, editors, librarians and more. There's lots of romance chat, some recommendations and a whole heap to enjoy and learn with this one.
A little different from the others on this list, Read Me Romance does exactly what it says on the tin. There's a new, free audiobook from some top names in romance on this podcast every week so you can immerse yourself in a story as you go about your day.
4. Fated Mates
This podcast with romance author Sarah Maclean and romance aficionado Jen Prokop started as a read-a-long for Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series but evolved to include 'interstitial' episodes recommending books for all your favourite tropes, and the second series is a deep dive into the romance books that made Sarah and Jen the readers they are today. This is an incredibly smart and thoughtful podcast, and your TBR list will never be the same once you've listened.
5. The Wicked Wallflowers Club
Another Sarah and Jen duo, The Wicked Wallflowers Club hosts a series of interviews with bestselling authors, publishing professionals, readers and reviewers. You'll find loads of your faves in here, as well as discover some new names. They promise to take the guilt out of guilty pleasure when it comes to romance... and I'd say that it's a job well done!
This podcast, hosted by Vanessa Zoltan, is more about the writing of romance than it is the reading, but whether you're penning your own love story or not, there's something to enjoy as Vanessa and her guests embark on their authorial journeys and explore the concept of romance writing (and reading) as a sacred practice. Lots of food for thought with this one!
7. RomBkPod
A newbie on the list, this weekly podcast is all about repping inclusive and diverse romance titles, one trope at a time. If you want recommendations that hero some of the more underrepresented stories of the genre, then this is the place to find them!
